THE STORY
Chapter 1: 1976
​
Our story began over 70 years go. Growing up in the 60's & 70's without having much, I learned the value of hard work from a very young age. Working along side my father for many years, I slowly began to acquire the skills required to build, and renovate homes. Finally, in 1976 we took a chance, and started Rempel Builders. Times were difficult, and getting work often meant leveraging everything to purchase and flip one house at a time, before moving on to the next one and doing it all over again. As time went on, our reputation began to grow. There was little money for advertising in those days, but word of mouth travels quickly in a small town like Winnipeg, and one satisfied customer after another quickly proved itself to be the best form of advertising, that money could never buy.

Chapter 2: 1992

As the years went on, our reputation continued to grow, as did the scale of the average project that we were taking on. Company and bank funded flips became a thing of the past, as large scale additions and major interior renovations took over, and quickly became the norm. Careful planning, open communication, and full transparency became our anthem. In an industry that is flooded with renovators who pop up overnight, and fade away just as quickly, we have stood the test of time, and brought with us a depth of experience that only our 40+ years in business could provide.

Chapter 3: 2022

Since then, we have continued to enjoy tremendous success. And while the industry continues to evolve around us, our core values remain unchanged; Honesty, integrity, hard work, and trust. The renovation industry is one that is often painted with broad strokes that include dishonesty, fear, and stress. However as members of Renomark and the Manitoba Home Builders Association, our goal is to break that stereotype. We want home owners to realize that they can in fact hire a renovation contractor with complete confidence, knowing that their home, their hard earned investment, is in the hands of honest, skilled, hardworking individuals, who truly have their best interests in mind.
