I wanted to take the opportunity at this time to write this note on behalf of myself and my parents, Maria and Manuel Mota, with respect to our experiences with the awarded contractor, Rempel Builders, and the nature of their quality of work at 30 Dvoras Cove during this past year as part of the insurance claim process.

Overall, it has been a pleasure communicating with Ivan Plett, the project manager, during the entire scope of work.

Initially, my parents felt a sense of trepidation and anxiety before meeting Ivan and especially after having endured a less than acceptable experience with the previously assigned renovation company. However, at the introduction meeting, we were all made to feel very comfortable and confident under his direction and assurances.

Right from the outset, Ivan was able to provide us with a preliminary plan which included the builder contract and an approximate timeline for the project.

Preparations were made for my parents to meet with his suppliers to facilitate the selection of all the various building materials, finishes and design elements.

As the work on the rebuild progressed, Ivan provided our family with daily/weekly status updates and his tradesmen on site were courteous and respectful to my father who would check on their progress on an almost daily basis. The tradesmen seemed very skilled and professional in terms of their workmanship.

Beyond all of these initial impressions and experiences with Rempel Builders and their team, the most important and reassuring element was that of their workmanship.

Quality of work and attention to detail were the most impressive and pleasing outcomes of this entire process. Skilled carpenters and tradespeople were very proficient at problem solving and providing solutions to unforeseen issues in layout or design, if and as needed. Ivan and his team would provide us with immediate answers to any questions or were able to suggest the most practical, economic or ergonomic solution knowing that my parents were on a limited budget. Ivan and his team, as needed, offered advice/direction to us without compromising proper building procedures and with a view to benefit the home's aesthetics. For example, if we were to ask about an alteration or adjustment to the interior plan, he would comment on its feasibility with respect to building code and best cost option.

Ivan Plett is extremely knowledgeable in his field of expertise. The man knows what he's talking about. I have met many people in the construction business, being in the real estate service sector, and I would rank him among the best in residential building construction knowledge and experience. He has gained my trust as a first rate project manager. He offers his clients knowledgeable, practical options and solutions in a comprehensible manner.

Suffice it to say that Wawanesa Insurance can consider this statement as a ringing endorsement of Rempel Builders as a quality builder that you can place extreme confidence in the workmanship and relationship that they can provide many of your future claimants. You can rest assured that they will positively impact future Wawanesa and Centra Claims' client relations.
